Metal God Amari

Lead Solo Guitarist

PERFORMING AT THE 7TH ANNUAL METAL HALL OF FAME GALA

Amari has overcome major obstacles and challenges of being on the autism spectrum.

At the age of 2 years old specialists anticipated him being nonverbal social and cognitive impairment for his entire life.

His mom took matters into her own hands by doing holistic research on diet and herbal remedies for Amari to better cope with his Autism diagnosis.

Being that Amari was nonverbal, his great grandfather suggested that giving him an instrument would be essential to help him better communicate. Ike's words, "Give that boy an instrument, and he'll talk to you loud and clear."

At 3 years old Amari took a liking to the video game Guitar Hero and mastered it in a brief amount of time. He would also shock and captivate an audience at the local arcades in his hometown. This experience (along with his bloodline) ignited his passion to being a live performing lead guitarist.

At 6 years old, Amari excelled from being nonverbal and severe on the autism spectrum to verbal and high functioning.

Fast forward, at 12 years old Amari asked his parents for his first acoustic guitar. He taught himself "Stand By Me" and further studied the greats that inspired him in rhythm and blues. One year later, he requested his first electric guitar and taught himself how to shred, read music and write tablatures. From this point he was drawn to the sound of heavy metal.

A major rock band influence is AC/DC, and metal bands influences are Megadeth, Symphony X, Lamb of God, and other shred worthy virtuosic songs.

Amari makes special appearances as a solo lead guitarist and is hopeful to start his own metal band in the near future.
